The Parent’s Club’s primary function is to help raise funds for our Parish School’s Education Programs. We help finance computer upgrades, support the Physical Education and Band programs, and we annually contribute thousands of dollars for new textbooks for the students.
We also organize and help pay for several activities for the school. Our school is small and we encourage everyone to volunteer for these activities. Volunteering is a great way to meet new people and to make many new friends. Each family is asked to 30 volunteer points per school year.
All parents and guardians are members of the Parent’s Club. Everyone is encouraged to attend the Parent’s Club meetings. These meetings are held the first Tuesday of the month from 6:30 P.M. to 7:30 P.M. in the Parish Hall. Babysitting will be provided. Everyone who attends a meeting receives one volunteer point per meeting.
The St. Mary’s Parish School Auction is our biggest fundraiser and is held in February. Our school receives tremendous support from the parish and this really shows at the auction. This is a major undertaking and all school families are encouraged to participate in some way with the auction. Several subcommittees are formed to organized everything from the decorating, solicitation, catering, and bookkeeping, to bartending and clean up.
