CCD is held on Sundays 8:45 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. at St. Mary’s of Kickapoo. Classes are held in the school. All parents are invited to enjoy community, coffee, and donuts in the parish hall during our CCD classes. We also provide the opportunity for monthly adult faith formation on various topics with guest speakers!

Parents are a child’s first and primary catechist. It is the mission of our parish’s Faith Formation programs to help you as parents/guardians to nurture and foster growth in the Catholic faith of your children. This is accomplished with help from Catechists/volunteers of our Parish who give of their time and talents.
Children will prepare for, and encounter the beauty of, the sacraments of First Communion, Reconciliation, and Confirmation through our religious education program, CCD.
First Reconciliation
First Reconciliation is held in conjunction with the 2nd grade CCD program. It is usually held in the winter season.
- Our CCD students, 3rd-8th Grade, receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation at least once a semester during CCD classes!
First Communion
First Communion takes place the 1st Sunday in May at St. Mary’s.
Confirmation
Confirmation is held at St. Mary Cathedral in Peoria on a date to be determined in the Spring. The sacrament of Confirmation is for 8th graders who have completed instruction & service hours in preparation for Confirmation.
